About AllerGuard

AllerGuard has a unique textile weave that acts as a barrier against dust mites, pollutants and allergens. The fabric is made of millions of microfibers many times thinner than a human hair, woven so tightly that nothing with a diameter greater than 0.1 micron (µm = my) is able to penetrate.

The extremely dense weave and a special arrangement of fibers without added chemicals guarantee high tightness against microparticles, but allow the transport of air and moisture, which is why AllerGuard products are also very comfortable to use.

Protection AFTER washing

Laboratory tests at ALK show that AllerGuard® maintains 98.2% tightness against microparticles with a diameter of 0.1 μm, even after 50 washes, and for particles with a diameter of 0.5 μm, the tightness is as high as 99.6%.

Oeko-Tex

AllerGuard is of course Oeko-Tex certified, according to Standard 100. This is one of the world's toughest environ-mental tests for problematic substances in textiles. Especially in bedding, the dangerous chemicals are proble-matic, as the fabric is in contact with the skin for many hours at a time.

Fire Safety

AllerGuard products are fire tested to the strict British Standards: BS EN ISO 12952:2010 Part 1. This means extra safety for you and your family, and that all products can be used in hotels, hospitals, care centers, etc.

GMDN Agency

All AllerGuard products are approved and classified by the British GMDN Agency, the European Medical Agency, EURAMED and thus by the Danish Medicines Agency as a Medical Device, Class I.

House Dust Mite Barrier

The German Hohenstein Institute has tested AllerGuard's ability as a House Dust and Mite barrier against the product's ability to protect against allergens with real house dust mite excrement. Result: 100.00% reduction in allergen content - also in zippers, seams and channel welding in duvets.
